What exactly is Cookidoo®? What options does the recipe portal offer me?
Cookidoo® is Vorwerk's official recipe portal where you'll find new recipes all the time. Every recipe is developed from our Thermomix® cookbook and can be easily cooked with the Thermomix® TM6 thanks to the guided cooking function. Recipes without special TM6 modes (e.g. "caramelized sugar", "burnt" or "thickened") can also be easily prepared with the Thermomix® TM5.
On Cookidoo® you can:
- Organize, tag and share recipes
- Make a weekly plan
- Use the useful filters in the search function to find your favorite recipes
Do I have to be registered with Cookidoo® to use the Thermomix® TM6?
No, with the new Thermomix® TM6 you will receive the basic recipe "Simple.Homemade". Recipes from the Basic Cookbook can be recalled offline on the Thermomix® TM6. So you can start cooking right away. If you sign up for Cookidoo®, you will get a 30-day free trial subscription. If you link your Thermomix® TM6 to your Cookidoo® account, your 6-month free trial subscription will also start.
After signing up for Thermomix®, how long can you try Cookidoo® for free?
Your 6-month free trial starts when you connect your Thermomix® TM6 to your Cookidoo® account for the first time. You can buy a Cook-Key® for your Thermomix® TM5 at any time. If you register Cook-Key® with your Cookidoo® account, a 6-month free trial subscription will also start.
If you want to continue using Cookidoo® after your 6-month trial subscription expires, you can purchase an annual subscription for 48 EUR.
What do I need to know about connecting to Cookidoo®?
Registration on Cookidoo® requires an email address.
Some mail providers allow different spellings of email addresses. Cookidoo® only recognizes the spelling you specified when you registered. For example, if you sign up with xyz@googlemail.com, Cookidoo® will not recognize xyz@gmail.com as a username.
Thermomix® World, Thermomix® Recipe World, Online Shop and Cookidoo® are different websites and platforms, each with its own profile. So be careful not to confuse them.
The recipe portal Cookidoo® should always open in a browser window and not in Google Search.
If you forget your password, just use the "forgot password" function.
If you registered with Cookidoo® using multiple email addresses and want to keep it simple for now, you can ignore the email address you no longer want to use or delete the associated Cookidoo® account.
Change email address:
You also have the option to change your email address. To do this, log into your Cookidoo® account and click on your name in the upper right corner. (Name -> Account -> Edit Account -> Change Profile -> Change Email Address.) Afterwards, don't forget to confirm the new email address by clicking the corresponding link in the confirmation email.
What are the subscriptions and how do I extend my Cookidoo® subscription?
When you register on Cookidoo® for the first time, you will automatically receive a 30-day free trial subscription giving you free access to all Cookidoo® content for 30 days. If you want to continue using Cookidoo® after the 30-day trial subscription expires, you can purchase an annual subscription for €48.
Your 6-month free trial starts when you connect your Thermomix® TM6 to your Cookidoo® account for the first time. You can buy a Cook-Key® for your Thermomix® TM5 at any time. If you register Cook-Key® with your Cookidoo® account, a 6-month free trial subscription will also start.
Subscriptions are automatically renewed via your PayPal account or the credit card stored in your Cookidoo® account (My Account/Overview/Subscriptions/Payment Methods).
You will automatically receive information and reminders from Cookidoo® by email if your subscription expires or if there is a problem with your renewal. You can also check when your subscription expires using your Cookidoo® account (My Account/Overview or My Account/My Cookido® Subscriptions). Click "Update Now" to continue using Cookidoo®.
You can extend your subscription before it expires. You can find the corresponding functions here: My Account/My Cookidoo® Subscriptions/Subscriptions or My Account/Overview/Subscriptions.
Additional purchased months are simply added after your current subscription expires, so you're not paying twice a day!

Can I use data from Cookidoo® to register with the online shop? vice versa?
Please note that Cookidoo® Recipe Portal, Thermomix® Recipe World and Online Shop are different offers and you must register separately.
Can I still find recipes for previous Thermomix® models on Cookidoo®?
Since the launch of the Thermomix® TM6 in March 2019, recipes on Cookidoo® have been created exclusively for the Thermomix® TM6 and can be re-cooked using the guided cooking function. Recipes without special TM6 modes (e.g. "caramelizing sugar", "frying" or "thickening") can also be prepared easily with the Thermomix® TM5. If you want to prepare recipes with the Thermomix® TM31, please note that the mixing bowl and Varoma® are smaller and not all temperatures can be reached with the Thermomix® TM31. Please also note the instructions for use and the safety instructions on Cookidoo®.
Tens of thousands of users have already published their own recipes online in the Thermomix® recipe world - for free, also for older models!
In which languages are recipes available on Cookidoo® and my Thermomix® TM5/TM6?
You can select the following country settings in your Cookidoo® account: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Germany, France, Greece, United Kingdom, Guatemala, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Colombia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Czech Republic, Ukraine, United States, United Arab Emirates, Cyprus.
Once selected, Cookidoo® will be displayed in the preferred language. Many countries have standard languages, such as German in Germany, French in France, and English in the UK.
If you live in Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands or Switzerland, you can set your preferred language. To do this, scroll down to the bottom of your account and click Language in the lower right corner, where you can select the country and the languages available in that country. This feature is currently only available in Europe. Other countries are not yet available.
Recipe search does not depend on preferred language setting. You can search recipes in all available languages. This also applies to recipe searches on the TM6.
What delivery services does Cookidoo® offer?
Cookidoo® offers the following delivery services: REWE, Edeka Bringmeister, getnow and Amazon fresh. This feature is currently only available for the Cookidoo® web application.
To use the delivery service, add ingredients to your shopping list and select the "Order Ingredients" option. Below you can view the delivery services available in your area. Select a delivery service and you will be forwarded to the corresponding provider's online store.
In order to be able to use the shipping service, you must create a customer account with the chosen supplier.
Is it guided cooking?
Cooking with the Thermomix® is easier than ever thanks to the Guided Cooking function!
Have you ever wished you had a personal kitchen assistant? The long wait is finally over!
Choose a recipe and follow the on-screen step-by-step instructions. Time, temperature and stirring level are preset. You only need to weigh your ingredients and Thermomix® will do the rest for you. Preparing delicious food at home has never been easier!
To be able to use the Guided Cooking function, recipes must arrive digitally from Cookidoo® to your Thermomix® TM5 or TM6. For TM5 this is done using Cook-Key®, for TM6 you can access Cookidoo® directly.
By the way: All recipes on Cookidoo®, our Thermomix® recipe portal, feature guided cooking.
How many devices can I add to my Cookidoo® account?
You can link your Cookidoo® account to up to five devices, for example: three Cook-Key® and two Thermomix® TM6s.
What vouchers can I redeem on Cookidoo®? How does it work?
Only vouchers for Cookidoo® subscriptions can be used on Cookidoo®. Enter the code under My Account/Coupons.
Vorwerk vouchers cannot be used.
What should I know if I want to pay with my credit card at Cookidoo®?
If you purchase a new Cookidoo® subscription or enter a new credit card into your account, your credit card will be charged €1 for the booking.
This is a result of new EU regulations on two-factor authentication.
This means that when signing up for a new credit, we reserve a nominal amount of €1 on the card to check its validity. However, this amount will not be debited from the card, it will only be held!
However, it also means that once you enter your credit card details, a nominal amount of euros is held, even if you don't buy anything at the time.
BTW: Depending on the credit card issuer or bank, there may also be a transaction fee. Vorwerk itself does not collect these.
Are the recipes in "Eat and drink with THERMOMIX®" still available on Cookidoo®?
"Eat and drink with THERMOMIX®" recipes previously published on Cookidoo® remain on Cookidoo®, so cooking can be enjoyed.
Why aren't there any new "Eat and drink with THERMOMIX®" series on Cookidoo®?
The bimonthly magazine "essen &trink mit THERMOMIX®" has been discontinued.
With the closure of the magazine, the joint collaboration between Gruner + Jahr and Vorwerk Thermomix came to an end.
Are Thermomix®, Cookidoo® and Cook-Key® protected from hackers?
Thermomix® is only connected to Cookidoo®, the recipe portal operated by Vorwerk. Unable to download or run third-party files. Because it is a secure software system, no additional virus protection is required.
Beyond that, connections and shared data are SSL-encrypted. SSL is one of the most commonly used encryption methods on the Internet, and your browser, for example, also uses SSL.
Therefore no external access is possible.
Thermomix® and Cookidoo® form a closed circle where your favorite recipes and data are safe.
